Brisbane Valley Rail Trail; Esk to Fernvale
A very slow social ride today with a group from work on the Esk to Fernvale section of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail. I didn't take any photos today as I plan to explore this section and the surrounds at another time.
This part of the rail trail is not as scenic nor as well maintained as the Linville to Blackbutt section that I rode previously. Some of that can be attributed to the damage from the recent floods in the area as the track is extremely rutted and in some places completely washed away.
This section is roughly 45kms in length however, I need to study a map to see if I can plan a loop ride that returns to the start point via some of quieter farming lanes.
